Sobreposiciones was an exhibit based on a research project by the Architecture graduate program at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
The research focused on an urban sector in the suburbs of Bogotá that had a homogeneous residential development during the 1950's, where renowned modern architects and firms built various projects. This sector's expansion could be considered an urban model with a paradigmatic effect in the architecture of peripheric residential areas, the result of superposing, adapting, and transforming various urban architecture models. This transformation characterizes a process that led to the modern planning and building of Bogotá, which constituted an influence for both residential projects and urban plans of the time.
